This applies to all communications of a teaching nature - be it organising wwoofers or work parties, running a workshop, planning and delivering a longer course. all these tasks will be more effective for everyone concerned, with the application of certain techniques of planning and designing your delivery.
People learn in different ways and these differences can become very apparent in a group learning situation.
Your task as the teacher is to accommodate each learner, therefore ensuring that they gain maximum benefit from your lessons.

There are many people currently teaching who have excellent knowledge, experience and enthusiasm in their area of expertise
